Former Fortune 500 CFO. Current business coach. Two decades of executive finance experience — now at the service of business owners who deserve the same thinking.
Andy spent twenty years inside corporate finance — not studying it, not consulting from a distance, but living it. As Controller, VP of Finance, and eventually CFO, he ran the financial operations of companies ranging from $8M to $300M in revenue across manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and professional services.
In 2020, he founded Ignite Strategies with a single observation: small and mid-size business owners were wrestling with the exact same problems he had solved at the corporate level — but without access to the same expertise. The gap wasn't ambition. It was infrastructure.
"The business owners I work with are not failing because they lack drive. They're failing because no one ever showed them how to build the financial and operational backbone their business needs to scale. That's the gap I close."
Built P&L models, managed $40M cost center, led first operational audit that uncovered $3.2M in recoverable margin.
Guided the company through the 2008–09 downturn without layoffs by restructuring vendor contracts and rightsizing the debt stack.
Took revenue from $8M to $34M in six years. Opened three new divisions, led two acquisitions, and built the financial infrastructure for an eventual PE exit.
Launched Ignite after recognizing that small business owners were solving the same problems he'd solved in the corporate world — but without the resources to solve them well.
